LIFE IN OLIVIA LAND!
Olivia land also known as:
Memphis and/or the Hood.
I've been asked to update! And that makes me feel oh so special! It's a very magical time!
WELL! Let's see...what's been happening...
Friday! Friday was my amazing best friend's birthday! And I worked my ass off and threw a miraculous surprise party! We were loaded, my house was loaded, everyone was ridiculously DRUNK and it was AWESOME! It was one of those nights where you look at it and go "wow...everyone drank just the perfect amount." We had SO much fun and it was magically delicious. I made new friends and we all had an awesome time. And I lost at beer pong, and it wasn't my fault because I did good! Partner...not so much. But I did make an awesome new friend!
The night started off with me laying in bed. Then I realized, wow, I have to be ready by eight so I run to work and get my check, come back, get to Brittany's place, and watch the Memphis game, fully dressed and ready to go out because I had told her that there was something going on at a nearby bar that would be fun for her birthday. So I end up being late for the game, because I am a slow fucker. But it was super straight!
After the game my secret agent over at my place said that people weren't there yet, so I had to stall...so I open another beer and say "let's finish the ones we're on...then leave..." while proceeding to drink very slowly. Eventually the house was packed and I finished up and we left to go around the corner to my house. And there were cars...everywhere...and cars that were very easily recognizible. Like a bright green jeep. So she was suspicious. But the big "SURPRISE" was loud and awesome!
The night ended with a few lingering awesome people around 4:30, then I took Brittany home and everyone left and I came back and chilled a little more, then went to bed. It...was...GREAT!
SATURDAY!
I did kareoke last night! I did "can't touch this" and "love shack" but my roommate made me be the man in love shack...and it was not flattering. But it was SO much fun, and then I fell asleep...immediately upon coming home.
Today I watched the game (FINAL FOUR, WHAAA? YEAH), went to Target, and realized there was a weird scraping sound coming from under my car...
I had been surprised by a GIANT puddle (like...over a foot deep) and it forced the big piece of plastic that like, covers the bottom part of my civic, to fold backwards and drag... so...I did what any girl would do in the situation...I called my Dad! He was not happy, mostly because now I have this very nice car, and bad things keep happening to it! Nothing TERRIBLE, but like...nothing EVER happened to the Jeep, and he was a piece of shit! And now I have this civic, and it's soooo nice, and it is an accident waiting to happen!
Anywayyy! My dad and brother drive up from home (like, forty minutes away) and I sit in the lot of Target...reading Hamlet for English. I called him and told him to watch out for the gigantic puddle, and when he got to me, he was laughing at the puddle because he was shocked I had made it through without my car getting flooded. So I felt like a pimp. He and my brother continued to jerk the plastic thing and eventually just cut it off and it's in my trunk now, waiting to be reattached later this week, and that's hilarious.
Then I bought 101 Dalmations!

OH MY TIGERS
Did anyone watch the Memphis vs. UT game last night? The game that I spent around 14 hours in line for? The game where I left work at 3am, went home, showered, ate a cookie or two, went to Kroger, and was in line for at 4:30am? That game? The game where WHILE in line, I fell asleep on a curb? For an hour? THAT GAME!
It was amazing. Even after standing in line from four thirty in the morning to nine, doing ESPN Gameday from nine to eleven, then standing in line again from eleven to six thirty, I didn't in the first section of seats. And do you know why? Because I'm little, and asshole people push in front of me who haven't been in line since 4:30am. People who have energy to do pushing because they have slept in an actual bed in the past 24 hours. The last time I had slept was about eleven in the morning on Friday. That's...forty hours I went without sleep by the end of it.
It was amazing. The game was ridiculously close the whole time and I found out that there's a way to make any sport way more interesting. Beer. By the end of the game I was yelling and jumping and yelling "attack!" because that's the only thing I can think to say during sports. Then we left (we is me and my best frizend.) and went across the street to where we both work and I'm pretty sure I probably made an ass of myself at least twice. But I really do not know...
All I know is that my mind was blown. Now I'm awake and my whole body hurts and my head feels like it's about to explode. But I feel like I can't go back to sleep because I need to actively get to feeling better to make it to some meetings tonight.
Spectacular day though, for a number of reasons.
Yayzers!
Oh, and for those who did not watch, Tigers lost, but like...barely. It was ridonkulously close the whole time and crazy and we ended up losing. Amazing, AMAZING game.

WHAT'S BEEN GOIN ON WITH OLIVIA?
Very much. A ridiculous amount of amountage has occured since I've last posted. So I will focus on now for this post. Because now is easy to remember...
NOW:
I am at work, my internet at home is DOWN! I don't know why, but it's been going out around the campus area's wireless networks. And since I live four blocks off campus, I have fallen victim to this tragic event. I spend my days studying now...no more facebook for hours, no emails, just funless brain-boosting mental exercise. Ridiculous.
But I'm fully able to use this computer at work, between deliveries. I have the best job ever. It's fun, I get to drive and be charming for tips. And I work with fun people most of the time. Every now and then I come in and it's some RANDOM person, and that is disappointing. Today though it's just me and my ultra-fun manager. Not the moderatly fun one, ul...tra. (Clarification for Polt: Manger is also cute, but prefers to be called ruggedly handsome)
Work seems like a really good subject for a post, therefore:
OLIVIA'S JOB
I work at a cheesesteak place, which is delicious. I make food, I clean things, I take deliveries to both really scary ghetto Memphis places, or very nice old Memphis places. I sometimes get to walk deliveries over to Main Street or Beale and that's just oh so delightful.
When not performing actual useful tasks, we also spend time eating ridiculous amounts of random food, watching videos on youtube, and playing with the "Ghe-dough" left by customers, i.e. cheap playdough.
So yes, my job...is way better than yours.
---------
As far as school goes, that is BORING. I go to class, I kind of sit there...learning I guess. I have the easiest schedule ever this semester. 12 hours, one honors class, and one class that's once a week, it's amazing. I have 1-3 hours of school each day, then Mondays a 3 hour film class at night. When not in school, I'm working constantly, going to shittons of meetings, and smiling.
Sorry for the super bad post, it was mainly to let it be known that I'm alive. And I don't have a camera still after the whole "aw fuck, my purse got stolen" thing and so there's like, no visual aids for this post. Just close your eyes, and imagine my adorable-ness, and have a magnificent day!

OLIVIA IS HAVING REALLY SHITTY LUCK!
Let's review the events of December...
December 1st: Christmas with the Krunks- Party thrown by my best friend and I at her apartment.
It was phenomenal, until the cops came. They were cool as hell, though. What sucked was that a friend of mine drank too much and I don't remember a lot of the details about that situation, but I do know it sucked...
Tuesday Night: My car breaks down
There is already a detailed blog about this, and I will make a continuation of said blog, by saying that I am not going to have a car until after Christmas...which sucks giant giant balls.
Friday Night (last night): GREAT night, until my purse got stolen.
I went up to do the top five countdown with a few of my sisters at a radio station here, which I actually love talking about because it's ridiculously fun and I love it, but I will talk about it later. While up at the station, the dj (DLo, super cute btw ((specified for Polt))) asks if any of us want to be put on the vip guest list to senses (a club) for that night. Brittany and I figure, hey, why not, we might stop by if there isn't anything else going on, just to check it out and shit.
So blah blah, we have an awesome time at the radio station as usual (I love it) and Brittany and I head downtown to hang out with a friend of ours for her birthday. This is around 10:30ish maybe. So we get downtown and hang around until about 11:15 because they were leaving to go home and play shot checkers.
Brittany and I figure, what the hell, let's go check this shit out and we drive to the club. We get there around 11:40, go in, and leave at 11:55. We then discover that the passenger door is unlocked when it had been locked before we went inside, and upon popping the trunk, our purses are gone. We go find a popo.
Good news for me, upon returning to my dorm room this morning, I found my wallet that I had, for whatever reason, taken out of my purse this afternoon and put all my cash and my license in my new clutch thing. Shittily, I left my U of M id in the purse. But the worst part was...and Jack knows this...sit down and hold someone's hand...because the bastards stole my camera...
And I had a post on there!! I had taken SO many pictures and planned out a whole post for you guys! And they stole it! MY CAMERA FOR THE LOVE OF THE BABY JESUS!! My camera that has been with me for so long! Throughout Puntabulous, throughout so many nights of great times, so many pictures and memories in that camera! And I miss it.
Luckily, around a week ago I transferred all the pictures to my computer. But still, I had taken a lot of pictures last night...and they were all really cute.
They also stole around 90 dollars in cash from both of us and her wallet and debit card, some IDs, our illusion of safety, memories...you know, the usual.
I really don't like Kelly Ripa. Just a sidenote.
List of things I need to aquire since my purse was stolen:
*Chapstick
*Lip gloss
*Keychains of wonder...bastards, I had the PERFECT keychain too, like, reallly...
*Rape whistle (ironic that it was stolen)
*Tiny notebook for random thoughts I think to write down...
*Digital camera full of memories...
*Car key
*House key
*Dorm key
*Dignity
Now leave me pity comments...

THE HIGHLY FASCINATING TALE OF OLIVIA'S JEEP DYING!
It was a day like any other, I was out of gas and headed to work. I stopped at the nearest gas station and put in ten dollars, and began my drive to work. I live on campus, sort of in the middle of Memphis, and I was bearing west to get Downtown, where I work at a Philly Cheesesteak place as a delivery driver.
I had not been driving for more than 4 blocks when my Jeep's engine rpm began to soar, yet I was still just going 40 mph. I felt uneasy, and pulled over into a park. I popped the hood and exited my vehicle.
Upon gazing at the engine, I realized that it was steamy and a terrible smell was coming from the general area of the entire car. I called my manager, who is my best friend's brother, and reported to him that I was going to be late. I then called my father, who told me to try to drive to campus.
Of course I follow the suggestion of my father and begin driving. But driving was awful. I could not accelerate to any more that 15 mph, and soon was stuck at an intersection crying. My car zoomed backwards when I had it in drive, and I was freaking out. I then called my dad again, and was crying and freaking out because it's really ghetto in Memphis and I was a sitting duck. Also, driving in Memphis is the equivelent to Death Race 2000.
My deep blue razor phone beeps, I have another call, it's Corey, my manager. I am not sure if I was crying on the phone with him, but he agreed I should call his sister, Brittany, my amazing friend.
I then call Brittany, who calms me down a lot, and I begin to slowly reverse my car to get away from this intersection and make a U-turn. I begin the turn and I keep stalling out and my car will just not go. I finally get to the part of reversing to straighten my car, and it won't go back into reverse. At this point, my Jeep is blocking the entire side street with cars trying to pass on both sides.
I slam my head onto the steering wheel and cry a little before talking to my Jeep about the situation:
"Come on, Jeepy, you can do this, I love you, you can do this! Come on, come on, come on, I know that you can put yourself in reverse, let's just get us to a parking lot then you can rest and we will get you fixed because I love you, you can do it."
And my Jeep-mobile sprang backwards with a GIANT effort and I completed my turn. I then smashed on the gas in drive and with the engine rpm around 6-7, I slowly inched my way going 20 mph down a street, turned, crossed some tracks, and found a parking lot.
Once edging my Jeep into a place, I then shut him down, and called someone who I thought knew about cars and who I also know is always there for me if I get really really upset. I talk to him for a little bit, then my dad beeps in. I talk to my dad and call my friend back.
By this time, Brittany pulls up and climbs aboard. We sit for a little bit before she drives me to work. I drive Corey's car that night, which is nice, because it is very zippy.
Then today was good! I went back up to the radio station that my sisters and I went to a few weeks back to host a countdown, and this time just me and one other good friend went for like voice stuff. "It's my radio station!" etc.
And that is the story of Tuesday night and this morning.

OLIVIA'S ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE DAY!
This is going to be short:
I just carried a giant suitcase (I can fit inside almost), a computer bag, a large purse, an umbrella, a medium drink, and a bag of food from McDonald's, across campus then up three flights of stairs to my dorm room. In the rain. In heels. In a dress.
If that isn't an accomplishment...I just don't know what is.
Did I mention that rain wasn't just a drizzle? It was a torential DOWNPOUR!! I just wanted to get back to my warm, cozzyyy dorm room.
Then I get here, and it's freezing and smells really awful because my roommate didn't take her trash out before she left for the LONG weekend. Like...who does that when there's FOOD in the trash?! I didn't take mine out because it's all PAPER. Like, really...it smells awful in here.
So yeah, that's that. When I told someone about this though, the three flights of stairs and the heels, etc, I got a funny response though, so that made it better.

OLIVIA GETS CALLED A WHORE!
And I think it's hilarious, because it is SO far from the truth! Also it's funny because it's someone I went to High School with who has told people this, and it's someone who I have not had any contact with and don't even particularly like, so it's even better!
The friend who told me that this chick is telling people we went to school with responded with this:
"Yeah, that's completely untrue. I have tried to get on Olivia so many times, and she has refused every time. Pretty much anyone will say the same thing."
This was the best part, because it was hilarious. And true. I don't wanna bang random people, as a whore would do, because it's just not worth that mess! It's unclean!

OLIVIA'S BABY IS SICK!
Everyone is familiar with my baby, correct?

Not the Quiznos, the Jeep. MY Jeep. My Jeep that I bought myself (with help) as my first car, the Jeep that I has been withe me to hold me tight through the tough times, the Jeep whose tires have lost traction multiple times in the rain and almost killed me, the Jeep that kills a little more of the environment every time I drive it. This is the Jeep whose backseat is usually filled with so much random shit that I could probably live in there quite comfortably if I had to.
I love this Jeep, and it's dead right now. I parked it in the parking lot by the place I work after I got my tag (gotsta have a tag because it's a private lot right by Beale and the damn tourists keep parking there, and I'm like, bitch, this is MY lot!) and then later on that night, I went to go home, and it would not start. Okay, no big deal, I will try to jump it in the morning. So I get a ride back to campus and go back the next day, where a super cute guy tried to jump my jeep with his, also cute, because Jeeps helping Jeeps should be like...a philanthropy. Anyway, wasn't the battery.
So it's probably the starter. I am pretty crushed. I miss having it around.
Also, and this is really, really stupid of me, I didn't make the connection between being a delivery driver last night and having no car until I got to work yesterday. So I had to drive my mananger's car. And that is a nice car. I highly reccommend the 4runner. It's very nice. And goes from 0-60 like you have no idea...

OLIVIA CRACKS HERSELF UP!
So tonight I had to go to see some chick speak about Greek Life for my sorority and stuff. She was a really great speaker and I did enjoy it, but I realized something about myself, I'm kinda weird. Why? Well various reasons, but this is what I'm talking about tonight; she asked what it took to make a relationship successful, and I answered to my amazing friend next to me, "He's gotta get me food..." And that is truthfully the first thing I thought of, while everyone else echoed love and friendship and that shit, I am thinking that that five piece nugget, small fries, and coke, was just not enough. I actually want to marry the literal chain of Wendy's fine food eateries...I love it that much.
Anyway, this began me thinking, what makes the Olivia like the boys she does? What is the key to Olivia's adorable little heart? So, here are the top ten!
1. Food. I love food. People ask me if I'm anorexic, and I am offended, not because they think I have an eating disorder, many great people have eating disorders (I'm lookin at you Mary-Kate!) I just love food so much! Like, do people think I'm ridiculously stupid and do not know how amazing food is?! Every time I finish inhaling something from Wendy's I go into a food satisfaction trance...(spelling?)...and I am in a state of complete bliss for like, ten minutes. It's like opium...
2. Text messages. Love em. Almost anyone I am in regular communication with will tell you that I text ridiculously too much. I just really love that I can type something, and it magically gets transported through THE AIR to another place! In one piece! Does that not blow your fucking mind!? I send messages to people next to me, because I have that power, and I think it's funny.
3. Mix tapes. Nothing says cheesy like Olivia, aside from mix tapes. I love any time someone makes a mix for me, it says to me "Hey, I spent actual TIME picking these songs out! Because I think you're the shit!" And then I'm like, wow, you're totally right, I am the shit, I love you!
4. Movies. I love movies insanely, you should know this, I want to direct. I love watching a movie and ripping it apart in my head if I feel the need, (notice I said in my head, because I don't want to be that guy), If it's a theater, no talking, if it's a DVD, I will probably talk, and I hate me for it, but it depends on the movie and how into it I am. If it's an action movie, don't speak, I am very busy. Comedy, sure, let's chat.
5. Being smart. That's really all I have to say here...
6. If you know something about literature, let's just go ahead and get married. Let me rephrase it- If you CARE about literature, like some classic type shit, and we can have an analytical dicussion about it, let's get married now.
7. Disagreeing with me but not a lot. More like, holding your own opinions regardless of what I think, because I'm not going to budge and I'd like the same type of non-pussiness.
8. Any time a guy makes me want to be a better person that is insanely great. Like, that's great. Except I'm pretty much as great as I can get...so...
9. Being enthusiastic about something, as well as stuff I am enthusiastic about. Like...I get pumped about so much stuff, and I love it when people are equally pumped. Pumped is such a funny word...
10. Being not an asshole. Assholes include guys that are all anti-gay rights and shit, general douchebags, put other people down, put me down, and dress like dumbasses. Because realllllyyyy, if I accidently date some dumbass homophobe again, I think I'll be pushed to the brink and start mass murderes...
The list started sucking at the end but I feel good ab it. I have to write a 6 page paper now.

OLIVIA HATES YOU!
To the chick in my Sociology class:
Dear you,
I really want to punch you in the neck every time you decide to chime in during lecture. Everything you decide to say sounds the same and not intelligent. The class is unbearable to nearly everyone in the room, and it is made worse by you deciding to state your opinion on every single thing that is mentioned in lecture. I just want to leave class. Really, I do. I want to make a good grade on the test, and leave. This is made far more difficult when you will not shut up and just sit there, like everyone else.
Please shut your dumb face,
Olivia

OLIVIA WEARS A HAT!
So for the past four to five days, I have been wearing this hat. I don't know why I wear this hat, but it's like, I feel the need to.

I gave two angles. And from these pictures I have realized that grey is not my color, and our school's homecoming shirt looks awkward on me. But I'm still drop dead cute as hell, so it's hokay.
Anyway, back to the hat. I was wearing it because my hair had been looking shitty. I did a haunted house for a few days and after I'd get done with that had to go from that frat house to another one to work on homecoming stuff and didn't really feel like fixing my hair. Then the hat wearing progressed into a freakish need for the hat. I wore it for my Halloween costume (lumberjack/trucker/no idea...) at a party Saturday night...

and then the next morning I wore it because I was really tired. I wore it last night to the Homecoming kickoff party because my hair was wonky, and I wore it for the latter half of today because I love it so much!
And it's not even a cute hat! I look like a little boy in hats! I don't get it! But everyone likes it, like, I get a lot of comment about it. It's crazy shit.

THIS IS OLIVIA'S MIND RIGHT NOW:
HOLY SHITTTT!!!!
So. I am so busy this week, and next week, and I guess for pretty much the rest of eternity that I am having trouble finding time to eat. It is REALLY that bad, I'm not like...exaggerating.
So why am I posting a blog instead of doing something else? Because it relieves stress and I actually just rescheduled my Algebra test for Sunday, leaving me with twenty minutes of nothing to do. But it's not even 20 minutes of nothing to do, I have SO much to do, but I have to take a break or I'm going to get overwhelmed and end up like Lindsay Lohan in the hospital with like, whateaver the fuck the stressed out and whatever thing is.
Why I'm busy?
-Chair of a Haunted House charity thing for my sorority
-Paper due Thursday
-New job starting this week
-Homecomingggg
-This haunted house!!! ahhhhhhh....!!!!
Holy shit shit shit.

OLIVIA HONESTLY LOVES:::
I honestly LOVE LOVE LOVE SUPER LOVE Britney's 'Gimmie More.' Like, to the point where I listen to it on repeat on imeem. I hate to say it, but once I get out of the mini-debt I am in, and have a job, etc, I am BUYING her new album! Like, at a store. And I will blast it as I drive through the dangerous alleys of Memphis!!!
On a more serious note, this has been an awful, awful week for the University of Memphis. We've had two people die, one the murder and the other was a girl in Pi Beta Phi who was in a coma for awhile that was supposed to reduce brain swelling but didn't work out. It's been horrible. They have arrested three people for the murder of Taylor Bradford, and that's good I guess.
Oh, and do not listen to the bullshit on the news about how they handled the situation. They did not have us on lockdown, we were allowed to come and go as we pleased from dorms, etc, a cop would just tell us it was at our own risk, which was super bullshit, not just regular, because no one knew what had happened. The emergency text the school sent only said that classes were cancelled, not that someone had been murdered. There was an email sent out, but a giant percentage of the students only have access to the computers in the labs and library on campus. And both the email and text were sent out over six hours after the murder occurred. There wasn't even a "hey, guys! someone has been shot, get your asses back to your dorms or inside the nearest building!" There were people from the dorm the guy was at when he got shot that left 20 minutes after it happened, not knowing anything had happened, while there were only 'witnesses' that had seen the car driving away, also bullshit because we should have KNOWN at least SOMETHING happened. They thought the VA Tech guy had left, but that was a legendary mistake. And it's just absolute SHIT that they didn't handle it in any good way at all.
I decided to go on and just say where I go to school instead of being careful on the internets because 1) No one reads my bloggg.... AND 2) I already said that there was a shooting and it was on the National news, so it's no secret.
So go ahead and stalk me! It'll be fun!
Anyway. Other news...our dorm room's air conditioner is out. This would not matter in a normal place, but in Memphis it's still around 90ยบ outside. and it's around 75 and muggy in our room!!! AWFUL! But it's fine. I'm just pretending I live in a rainforest.

Olivia is scared to death.
There was a shooting at my college a few hours ago and one of our football players was shot and is possibly dead. No one knows, everyone is scared, and the university is not helping us out by giving any info through the site, our emergency text service, or email. It's awful and I can't even be funny right now, it's like...awful.

OLIVIA ADDS ON!
To my list from the last blog:
-Not an annoying drunk
-Loves old and new Kung Fu movies
-Writes on my Facebook wall, but not too much
The first one is inspired by a lot of annoying drunk frat guys from parties last night, the other two I just thought of. But on the note of drunkedness:
People who are annoying drunks should not be allowed to be drunk. Because everyone will hate you. You are allowed to get buzzed or even tipsy, but once you cross that line you need to go somewhere far away. I love friendly, smiley drunk people! I am a friendly smiley tipsy person! I don't cross that line because then I start singing, and calling people (Jack, let's not broadcast that). But last night I saw some guy from a class and he was great! I had hardly talked to the guy and we were best friends! I saw another guy I know, and he didn't make any sense, but he was funny! THAT's what you should be like when you are drunk, not needy and annoying. That's not attractive.
